You have your dream new home plan carefully created and brought to life, the contract is signed and finance approved; now its time to start choosing your new home colours, tiles, kitchen design and more!

Choosing the colours for your new dream home can be an exciting process for some, but it can be daunting for others!  So, how do you go about choosing the right colours and combo for your new home?

Inspiration – What do you like? Look for inspiration around you and feel for styles and colours you like – and what you don’t like. Online is a wealth of ideas and a great way to research current trends and styles.

Display Homes and Villages are a great place to start narrowing down ideas. You’ve no doubt already been through display homes and visited the villages, which homes were your favourite? What colour combos did you just love?

The homes under construction around your new block of land can be a great way to see what is going to suit your new surroundings and give you an idea of what you like or don’t like. Keeping your new neighbourhood in mind will help you to ensure your external colours will be compliment by the surroundings.

Your builder – your building team are a great source of information, they see many colours and combinations and may even be able to show you homes under construction for inspiration. They will know what works and what doesn’t.  Can your builder provide you with an elevation drawing of your new home with your colour ideas shown? This is a great way to visualise what the end result will look like.
